Radiohead surprendra toujours. Même si la musique n'est pas dans la lignée du progressif cet album trouve sa place ici. Hail to the Thief est un album pop, assez mélodique avec toutefois cette écriture musicale qui rend les morceaux si particuliers. L'atmosphère musicale est assez pesante, voir dérangeante. 2 + 2 = 5 est le morceau le plus abordable, Backdrifts et The Gloaming sont sans doute les plus difficiles avec leur musique électronique répétitive, We suck Young Blood, aurait du figurer au générique d'Entretien avec un Vampire, piano lent, voix éraillée trainante, coeurs plaintifs, une petite merveille. En résumé un album intéressant qui se réécoute avec plaisir.
